IIDX:TE II
The IIDX:TE II BMS event took place in March of 2006. It featured 2 main divisions (Keysound BMS, Non-keysound BMS) instead of an "all-in-one" division like the first TE. That was done to make the entered songs' ratings a little more balanced.

Like last time, people could review and post their impressions and ratings for the entered songs, on a scale from 1 to 7. These scores were then averaged and weighted to a value of 80 maximum.

Also the highest and lowest of the judges' scores for each song were removed before calculating the final score.

The judges for TE2 were Audity, jammitch!, pimpmachine, gorrum and Jadin.

A light-hearted and fun-sounding song containing a quite catchy melody. Despite the "Simplistic Beats" genre, the note charts of the higher levels (especially the 14-Key!) are quite complex.

Received 7th Place in the KS division.

My BMS entry!

Contains 5-key and 7-key charts, as well as BG animations quickly thrown together at the last minute.

Although this song's readme file says "This is my first BMS", the song is extremely well created and composed, and the note charts are fun to play. The live guitar playing is good too and adds a really nice touch to this song.

Received 3rd Place in the KS division.

This was based on a demo song from a version of FL Studio (I don't know which version). The author of this BMS has plenty of experience, having made note charts for O2Jam, so it's really no surprise that this entry was the division winner.

Received 1st Place in the KS division.

This is another BMS based on an actual song. The BMS author has close ties with the original band, and was able to get a multi-track of one of their songs. How lucky! So, the quality is really good. The rather low scores here are a little surprising, as I enjoyed playing this.

Received 8th Place in the KS Division.

One of the very few songs in TE2 that included a full set of 5-key note charts along with the 7-key charts. Listening to this song is enjoyable, but the notecharts not quite as much, as they seemed to be designed mainly to test one's finger stamina.

Received 9th Place in the KS division.

Rahkunn is the name used by gigabyte for his BMS works. This song is a really nice remix of a classic NES song, with fun note charts that accurately reflect the difficulty Rockman has when exploring Heatman's Stage.

An absolutely astonishing BMS entry. This is a beautiful song with well-made note charts and BG Animations. It's a little longer than the typical BMS song (3:41), but when a BMS is this good, time doesn't matter at all.

Received 2nd Place in the KS division.

This song was originally composed by the author for a novel (it's a theme song for one of the characters), with arrangements added in specially for the BMS version. It's a nice song, and the note charts here are some of the best in TE2.

Received 6th Place in the KS Division.

This is a BMS version of a song composed by the author for an upcoming CD release. While creating the note charts, care was taken to make very sure that players wouldn't complain about a lack of difficulty.

Disqualified from the KS division due to technicalities.

An enjoyable song with not too difficult notecharts. The notes are well-synced with the music, and there's a BGA image included as well. The song's ending comes at an unexpected time, but this is still fun to play.

This BMS is a remix of the Light World dungeon music from Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past. An interesting song choice, but it worked out really nicely. Extremely well-made charts, flawless synch with the music, and for the brave, a 14-key another chart is included.

True genre fusion! It's a really nice-sounding song, with well laid-out note charts that give a realistic 'keysound' feel, which is extremely impressive for a non-keysound BMS song. This includes an AVI movie for BG animation, but uses some unknown codec, so I couldn't view it.

A unique and very interesting song choice with technical-style note patterns that follow the song very well. It's like playing the actual instruments used in the song. This is a little on the short side, but it's still fun to play.

Feel the funky beat with this song! Features 3 really intense and highly challenging note charts, on all difficulty levels. Despite that, the notes are laid out very nicely, and those looking for something hard to clear should definitely give this a try. Also, the large file size is due to the BGM being in uncompressed WAV format.

Received 4th Place in the Non-KS Division.

Here's another under-rated BMS entry. This song is really fun to listen to, and the charts feature nice do-able patterns, and perfect synch with the music. It's good practice for variable drum roll patterns. This entry also features a deceptively easy another chart (The ending is a completely different story!)

An extremely enjoyable BMS entry, with some really well-created note charts for one of the most amazing songs in TE2. There's nothing impossible or overly difficult (when play level is taken into consideration), and synch (as with the other entries in this division) is perfect.

This entry's song is definitely from Mortal Kombat, but from which game or movie, I'm not sure. That's okay though, since it's a good song choice, with 3 enjoyable note charts to test your might. The note synch is flawless... Some noted a slight off-sync with the vocal samples, but those are always extremely hard to synch well in a non-keysound BMS.

Received 5th Place in the Non-KS Division.
